You don’t need a cabinet full of products—just a few trusted tools can keep your home sparkling and safe.
As a professional cleaner, I’ve tried dozens of products—but a few reliable go-to’s make up my everyday toolkit. Here’s what I always keep stocked (and why):
1. Microfiber Cloths
They’re reusable, streak-free, and grab dust like magic. I use them on everything from glass to furniture.
2. A Good All-Purpose Spray
Whether you make your own or buy a natural version, having one product for counters, appliances, and spot-cleaning is a time-saver.
3. Cleaning Vinegar
A must for deodorizing, removing stains, and even cleaning drains without harsh chemicals.
4. Powdered Laundry Detergent
Not just for laundry! I use powdered soap to clean baseboards, floors, spot-clean upholstery, and cleaning greasy surfaces.
5. A Mild Dish Soap
I regularly use dish soap for cleaning bathrooms including shower walls, sinks and toilets. I like to follow up with a disinfectant as needed, but keep in mind you should never mix chemicals.
