5 Things You’re Probably Forgetting to Clean (But Shouldn’t!)

Even the most diligent homeowners forget a few spots in their weekly cleaning routine. Here are five commonly overlooked areas—and how to tackle them.

1. Light Switches & Door Handles

High-touch and full of germs! Wipe them down weekly with disinfectant or a mild cleaning spray.

2. Remote Controls

Use a slightly damp cloth with rubbing alcohol. Avoid soaking or spraying directly.

3. Ceiling Fans

Dust them monthly (before you turn them on!). A pillowcase over the blades helps trap dust with no mess.

4. Toothbrush Holders

These build up gunk quickly. Toss them in the dishwasher or wash with hot soapy water every week.

5. Reusable Grocery Bags

They sit in your trunk or kitchen collecting bacteria. Most fabric ones can be tossed in the laundry or wiped clean.

The little things make a big difference! Set a reminder to tackle one of these each week.
